Mosaic Elementary School Enrichment

If you are looking for a list of courses, try the Registration menu above. You do not need an account to register for a class, but if you have one, registration will go faster.
The PTA needs volunteers to serve as onsite assistants for classes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. If we do not get any volunteers, we will have to cancel the program because FCPS regulations states that the PTA MUST PROVIDE at least one onsite manager during these programs. If you would like to volunteer for this, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing MESEnrichment@outlook.com.
*** Afterschool classes are very popular and often fill up within an hour of registration opening. The PTA does its best to offer as many classes as possible, but we are limited by class space as well as volunteer capacity. Program Policies and Information
Online Registration
You can register for multiple classes at a time, but only one child at a time. On the Registration page you can find a catalog of the available classes, you can filter the classes by day & grade, and then you can register for the classes you select.
- Only credit card payments will be accepted online. Contact the PTA enrichment coordinator if you must pay by cash or check.
- Our system only allows for registering one child at a time.
- You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered.

Enrollment & Class Info
- Classes have an enrollment limit and are filled on a “first come, first served” basis. If a class is full, you may sign up for the wait list and will be contacted if space becomes available. If you are contacted about an opening, prompt responses are appreciated as there may be others also waitlisted.
- If a class has not reached minimum size by the end of the registration, it will be canceled, and money refunded.
- Snow Days and School Closures – We follow the school schedule and guidance for before/after-school activities. Normally, activities will not run when there is not school for students.
- Sharing Information – By enrolling in our offerings, you are authorizing us to provide your child’s full name, grade, parent full name, telephone, and email to the vendor and instructors.
General Policies
Behavior
- Participants are expected to conduct themselves with appropriate classroom behavior. The vendors and their instructors reserve the right to withdraw a student from programming for repetitive incidences of disruptive or harmful behavior, for repeated violations of classroom rules, or for any instance of physically violent behavior. In such cases, tuition is not refundable.
- We also reserve the right to withdraw a student from programming if parents and/caregivers do not adhere to what we deem to be appropriate and civil behavior with instructors, student participants, the Coordinator, and/or Directors. Tuition is not refundable.
Attendance
It is each child’s responsibility to remember to attend after school classes. We suggest you email your child’s teacher before classes start to notify them that your child will be taking a class, and often teachers are able to remind students to attend. But ultimately, attendance is the responsibility of the family and the student—not Mosaic teachers or the PTA.
Dismissal
Prior to the first day of classes, you will receive information via email about dismissal policies. All students who are being picked up must be checked out by an adult. Children who attend SACC will be escorted to the SACC classroom at the end of class. For safety reasons children WILL NOT be permitted to walk home. If your child is usually a walker, please make arrangements for an adult to pick them up or meet them at the conclusion of each class. Everyone picking up a child must have a valid photograph ID and be listed as an approved pick-up person at the registration process.
Late pickups cannot be accommodated, and children will be removed from the class for repeated late pickups. Teachers and staff are not responsible for enrichment classes, and there is no one in the school who can take responsibility for your child after classes.
Class Cancellations
We operate on afternoons when school is in session. We will not run under these circumstances:
- If School is closed.
- Instructor Absence: The Instructor or our enrichment coordinator will contact you via phone or email in the event an instructor has to cancel.
- Inclement Weather: Classes follow FCPS policy on cancellations due to weather. When school is cancelled or closes early due to inclement weather, there is no after school enrichment.
We will make every effort to add the missed days to the end of the schedule, space and instructors permitting.
Refunds
- Refunds for cancelled classes: If a class is cancelled for the full session (due to low enrollment or any other reason), the full cost will be refunded.
- Refund Requests: Refund requests must be submitted in writing (email) to the PTA enrichment coordinator before the first meeting of the class. Once classes have begun, no refunds will be considered except in extreme or extenuating circumstances and at the discretion and approval of the PTA. Any refund issued due to a participant request will be for the amount paid for the class minus a 10% processing fee. Program fees will NOT be prorated for a student who misses classes, even in cases of student illness.
Financial Assistance
The PTA strives to make programming available to all families. A limited amount of financial assistance is available for Mosaic families that qualify for the of FCPS free and reduced-price meal program. For fall and spring enrichment classes, financial assistance is only available for one class, per student, per session, so that the PTA may assist as many students as possible.
